Before being incorporated under the Companies Act 1965, Melati Tanjong Beach Resort was a sole proprietorship business owned by Mr. Ahmad Bin Saad using the business name Melati Tanjung Motel. Melati Tanjung Motel has been in operation since January 1990 starting with 3 units of wooden chalets and is also one of the earliest motel operators established in Chenang Beach.
Now, Melati Tanjong Beach Resort has operated with 123 room units consisting of various categories including Deluxe Room, Seaview Room, Family Seaview Room, Family Superior Room, Triple Room, and Apartment.
